Our Mission
UVA Mail Services supports the University community by providing timely, accurate, and cost-effective mail handling and distribution services.
Operating under the Office of Business Services, the department offers guidance on mail preparation, addressing, classifications, and delivery procedures through its internal Mail Services Guide.
The guide is based largely on U.S. Postal Service regulations and is intended to help University departments use mail services efficiently.
Mail Services also assists with large mailings and shipments, encourages advance coordination for major projects, and continuously monitors postal rates to ensure the University receives the lowest possible mailing costs.
